How to Start a VRChat Event — Staff Recruitment and Originality

Hello. How’s everyone doing?

I’m Hiro from Full Body Tracking Lab.

Last time I covered rights verification and promotion for events. This time: gathering staff and creating originality.

Step 4: Gathering Staff

Small events can be solo, but larger ones need staff.

For events involving 1-on-1 user interactions, a staff selection process is needed. Pre-alignment on roles, responsibilities, and trouble response policies is crucial. Security plans should also be prepared at this stage.

Step 5: Creating Originality

“Similar events already exist” someone might say. But running a similar event later isn’t a problem.

If it’s unpopular, it dies naturally. If there’s demand, it continues. The market decides.

Even with similar content, different time slots mean completely different user bases. Morning people, afternoon people, night people — each deserves their own events.

Originality comes naturally. Same theme but different hosts means completely different atmosphere. Don’t stress about being revolutionary from the start.

Event Launch Checklist

Step 1: Rights verification

Step 2: Promotion (event calendars, magazine submissions)

Step 3: Learn from other events (attend organizer events)

Step 4: Staff recruitment (alignment meetings, security plans)

Step 5: Originality (don’t worry about similar events; adjust timing)

Final Thoughts

VRChat event management isn’t easy. But the skills and experience gained are irreplaceable. The moment someone smiles at an event you created is priceless.

I’m a full tracking performer, but I want to support anyone who wants to try event management.

May your event become someone’s “I’m glad I’m in the metaverse” moment.
