How to Write on note — Your Movement Is Uniquely Yours
Hello. How’s everyone doing?
I’m Hiro from Full Body Tracking Lab.
Today I’ll share how I usually write on note, and how to approach writing about “feelings” in VRChat.
Most People Come to the Metaverse to Connect
At its core, people come to the metaverse wanting to “connect with others.” Today I’ll briefly introduce approaches to that.
Understand Your Own Position First
Know where you stand. That’s the first step before writing on note.
How to Write a Self-Introduction
Keep it simple for VRChat. Write why you started — “a friend invited me” or “I wanted to make friends.” Just be straightforward.
Don’t hide your desires. “I came looking for a partner,” “I want friends with shared interests,” “I want to see cute avatars.” Be honest.
Put Actions into Words
Introduce places you’ve visited. Share content that influenced you. When you write what influenced you, people who like the same things will find you.
Write Without Planning to Publish First
Here’s advice: start by writing with the assumption you won’t publish it. When there’s no audience, you can be completely honest. Write everything — desires, anxieties, joys.
Read it back later and keep only what you’d be comfortable sharing.
Your Movement Is Uniquely Yours
This is what I most want to convey today.
Your movement is something nobody can imitate.
Even if you think “I’m bad at dancing,” that’s a movement only the current you can express. Your feelings combined with your movement create something nobody else can replicate.
So please share your movements and feelings through note posts and videos. That’s how the metaverse spreads further.
