How do I set up FBT?

HMD setup
The main prerequisite is that the HMD is ready to be used on its own. For lighthouse HTC products (SteamVR), please complete the HMD set-up, including room set-up, and for the Quest series, please complete the Guardian settings. In particular, it is often the case that the Guardian settings for Quest have improved after re-setting them.
If this is not done properly, the HMD may be buried in the floor, or the white ball may not come out of the floor, etc.

There are two ways: you can use the chest tracking belt from Eoz, or you can make your own bra-like device with a waist tracking belt and garter belt. Currently, there are various fixed devices for Gopro and so on.
I use this method because it cannot be connected to the elbow tracker. When fixed in this way, elbow trackers can also be connected and fixed with the garter belt, so each tracker does not shift and the belt does not need to be readjusted. You can choose the reference to be fixed using FBT:Lock in the menu field > Settings > Tracking and IK. The adjustment here is also important. Menu > Settings > IK: 2.0 setting, so make sure that IK: Legacy is not selected.

User Real Height is in principle real height. Officials have announced that it should always be Real Height. Some full tiger device manufacturers (vivetracker and Ultimate tracker are real height, often IMU method, camera full tiger, etc.) state that it should be changed, so please check the official device manufacturer’s website, The change is stated to be made. (Please note that the height in the article is set to 171 cm, but the image was taken from the official website with the height set appropriately for the article, so my height is not 171 cm).
The default setting of the advanced specifications below says it all, but if you are further away than the default value of 60 cm, it will not be recognised as a tracker. Conversely, if the foot tracking point is a little below the floor and within the default value of 60 cm, the avatar’s feet will not rise.
Other options explained (for advanced users, no need to tinker with the principle at all).
The above problem solves most of the above issues, but adds a supplemental one.
–custom-arm-ratio=‘0.4537’ Adjusts the ratio at which the avatar is scaled. The default is ‘0.4537’ and smaller values around ‘0.415’ may give an improved fit. if the arms do not fully extend when set to arms in Avatar Measurement, tweaking the default values here may help. smaller values The default value of ‘around 0.415’ may give an improved fit, so inviting 0.415 and lower may improve the fit.
–disable-shoulder-tracking -: adjustment of elbow trackers used for some types of IMU systems Some types of IMU-only based arm trackers can avoid problems with this method. [Note: but beginners do not need to tamper with it, see the official IMU manual]
–enable-ik-debug-logging : add additional IK-related output to the log, to be used when reporting IK bugs or problems.
–calibration-range=‘0.6’ – : Determines the distance (in metres) from the predicted support junction point to search for when calibrating. The default value is defined in the area of a sphere of 0.6 metres (60 cm). Applicable to foot, thigh, hip, upper arm and chest trackers.
–freeze-tracking-on-disconnect – Enabling this will freeze the tracker in place against the player when it is disconnected. To remove frozen trackers, re-calibrate. If all trackers are disconnected and the calibration option is no longer displayed, cycling through the avatar measurement options will also unfreeze the trackers.

また、基本的にVRchat上でのキャリブレーションした後に各デバイスやトラッカーを動かしたりすると、追従してぐにゃぐにゃになります。VRchat上でのキャリブレーションを再びしましょう。
特に多いのが、QuestやPicoシリーズでVivetrackerでしたら、「②無線フルトラ(OpenVR-Space Calibratorの導入)の設定をする。」のキャリブレーションをやっていないか、キャリブレーションがうまくいっていません。
トラッカーベルトとねじを固定したあと、キャリブレーションをやり直してください。

Re-check room set-up and Guardian settings [particularly problems with white ball buried in the floor].
Complete the HMD set-up, including room set-up for HTC products with the Lighthouse method (SteamVR) and Guardian settings for the Quest series. In particular, it is often the case that the problem of the white ball on the feet filling up is improved by re-setting the Guardian settings in Quest.
The originally unnecessary OpenVR-Space Calibrator add-on is turned on [if it is not required by the IMU system].

HMD not recognised by the software of the device manufacturers’ companies [IMU system].
Another common problem is that the HMD is not recognised by the software of the device manufacturers (e.g. Unistudio) because they forgot to start the HMD and started the software of the device manufacturers first.
